Some Hints To Help You Plan Your Visit...

To drive on Crete: You must have a valid drivers’ license from home, or an international drivers’ license. In Crete, we drive on the right.

Currency: Euro. ATMs are widely available and accept Maestro and Cirrus. Major credit cards are also accepted at most places.

Bringing food into the country : You can generally bring in food for your own consumption. 

Food shopping in Crete : There are several well-stocked supermarkets and mini-markets in nearby Almerida and Kalives. The closest to Villa Halcyon is in Kokkino Chorio, about a 2 minute drive. There are also several grocery stores in Chania and around the island. For fresh produce, head for the Market in Chania. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available at most grocery stores. There are also bakeries and fresh fish markets. Our house management team can provision for you for your first day.
